The dog days of development
With the proliferation of OSes and programming languages, a lot of developers are saying that we are in the dog days of application development.
I couldn't agree more. Things have gotten so bad that I feel like I have 50 bones in the air at all times. That's the bad news. The good news is that Alpha Five Version 11 promises to simplify developers' lives by allowing us to build apps once and run them on all five of today's platforms.
In fact, one of our people was talking to a buddy of mine the other day about it, and I think you'd be interested in his response. Watch the video.
OK, OK, you caught me -- this is a mash-up of the original ultimate dog tease video.
But it's my duty as man's best friend to ask you to like our video, and invite you to share it with friends who love dogs, with friends who love Alpha Five, and both!
If you need help getting this video out on all your social networks -- Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, etc. -- you can always find me on LinkedIn, and I'm happy to help.

Nice blog post, Clifton. I just want to mention that Alpha Five fans can show their support by creating "response videos" and posting them to YouTube. It's easy and fun, here's how to do it:
1. Step-by-step instructions can be found here
2. The video source file can be downloaded here
3. The script template can be downloaded here
4. To post your own video as a "video response," go to the MS Access 2010 Dog Tease video on YouTube, click your cursor into the "comments" box and you will see a control appear on the side that says "create a video response", which will allow you to upload your video.
We'll be sure to blog about any response videos!
